Minutes of The Special Price City Council Meeting

1. EXECUTIVE SESSION - Litigation

MOTION. Councilmember Nikas moved that the Council Meeting adjourn and that an Executive Session convene for the purpose of discussing pending litigation. Motion seconded by Councilmember Denison and carried.

Meeting adjourned at 8:05 a.m.

MOTION. Councilmember Piccolo moved that the Executive Session adjourn and that the Council Meeting reconvene. Motion seconded by Councilmember Nikas and carried.

Council Meeting reconvened at 8:35 a.m.

2. MARK LIDDIARD CASE - Settlement Proposal

MOTION. Councilmember Piccolo moved that Gary Johnson, Councilmember Tatton and Keith Wight, be directed to research the City’s liability insurance coverage for the fiscal year of 1997 and any other applicable time periods to clarify and establish the carrier’s financial responsibility towards litigation costs and participation in those costs associated with settlement of this matter and that Gary Johnson be authorized to offer reinstatement of medical insurance coverage to Mr. Liddiard as part of the proposed settlement, and that if Mr. Liddiard accepts this proposal that Nick Sampinos then be directed to prepare a resolution authorizing former employee Mark Liddiard to participate in Price City’s current medical insurance program. Motion seconded by Councilmember Denison and carried.
