XII      STAFF

            A.  International Days A-Frame Signs

Jeanne McEvoy explained the International Days Committee was not able to get the application             for these signs in time for this agenda.  She said there are 9 signs and they will be placed in           various places throughout the City.  The signs will be put up on July 16th and taken down on            August 2nd.  Francis reminded Jeanne that if the signs are on private property, they will need             permission from the property owner and the signs are not allowed in the right-of-way (park strip).           The Commission gave a head nod to be ratified at the July 26, 2004 Meeting.

John Angotti voiced concern over temporary carnivals coming to town and not returning the       money into the community.  Several other Commission members stated they felt the carnivals give         kids more to do.

Francis informed the Commission the Sonic Drive In opened today.

Frankie inquired as to the progress of the clean up at Transmission Express.  It was explained    much has been done and the area looks much better.  The property is also for sale.  Larry     suggested making all of the local transmission shops, car repair shops, and other related lots be         made to follow the same requirements.

Jeanne mentioned the old Gas-n-Go property is becoming a safety hazard.  Francis explained a             permit to demolish the building was taken out several months ago and no further action has been   taken.  Jeanne suggested contacting a second property owner in order to expedite the process.

There was no further business and Alfred moved to adjourn.  The meeting ended at 6:50 PM.
