1. MAYOR PROTEMPORE - Roy A. Nikas

MOTION. Councilmember Denison moved that in the absence of Mayor Colosimo, that Councilmember Nikas be appointed Mayor Protempore. Motion seconded by Councilmember Piccolo and carried.

2. CHARTER SCHOOL - Temporary Conditional Use Permit For Greenwell Complex

Councilmember Piccolo reported that the Planning and Zoning Commission held a special meeting Thursday, August 26, 1999, to review the request of the Charter School to conduct classes at the Greenwell Complex. The Commission gave a favorable recommendation for a temporary Conditional Use Permit contingent upon completion of the following items - providing a fenced playground area, no access on the west driveway, an open drainage culvert on the southeast corner taken care of, building fenced off between the old Crest and the new Crest, and a letter on file from Mr. Krompel indicating that no rooms would be rented for a period of 9 months through May, 2000. Price River Water Improvement District has given their approval to Mr. Kromple and Police Lt. Shook ran a traffic survey and developed a traffic pattern for parents as they drop off and pick up their children. The graveled parking lot behind the Greenwell Motel will be improved. MOTION. Councilmember Piccolo moved that a temporary Conditional Use Permit be issued for a period of 9 months through May, 2000, contingent upon completion of the above improvements. Motion seconded by Councilmember Denison and carried. Councilmember Piccolo noted that Price City will provide the school signs. In addition, a fireman will be on duty until a fire alarm system is installed.

Meeting adjourned at 5:39 p.m.
