Minutes of The Special Price City Council Meeting

City Hall: Price, Utah

 1.                CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS - Discussion

 

Vern Jones presented a five year projection of capital improvement projects proposed by department heads.  The following items were discussed:

 

GPS and GIS program for approximately $50,000 - $60,000, plus a technician to operate the station.

Elevator for City Hall

Retaining an Engineering Consultant

Reconstruction of parking lot  (adjacent to museum and Police Department)

Seismic reinforcing for City buildings

Carport for Police Department and Fire Department

New fire station

Drainage systems throughout the City

Replacement for intersection signal lights - 1st West and Main

Purchase of Petitto property

Shop carport and generator

New building for Parks/Cemetery Departments

Purchase of property from school district

Road extension - 900 East from 7th North to Carbon High School

Skateboard park

New ball field - Terrace Hills

Washington Park south side parking lot

Water conservation study - landscaping

New library building

Seismic reinforcing of present library building

Sewer line replacement, sewer materials                       

Swimming pool facility additions - steam rooms, sauna, hot tubs, water activity features

Swimming (wave pool) boiler               

Swimming pool dual fuel conversion

Seismic reinforcing of swimming pool facility

Automated utility meters

Vehicle replacements

Semi trailer/trailer rig

Narrow asphalt milling machine

Aerial boom truck

 

The Council will review the above items with their department supervisors.  A second meeting to further  discuss these projects was scheduled for Tuesday, February 8, at 7:00 a.m.
