1. MAIN STREET SIDEWALK RECONSTRUCTION - South Side From 100 West To 200 West

Vern Jones reported that Gary Sonntag has been working on plans and specifications to reconstruct a portion of the old existing concrete sidewalk on the south side of Main Street between 100 West and 200 West. This project will involve the placement of new concrete sidewalks, decorative brick pavers, tree grates, decorative lamps and posts. Gary was prepared to request permission to advertise for bids to construct this project. However, Pat Larsen was informed today by the County that because of the re-evaluation of the commercial properties in Price, that the tax increment went to $166,000 versus the $80,000 anticipated. There is about $140,000 that needs to be spent by the first of July. Due to this increase in funds, Vern requested permission to modify the plans on the sidewalk, prepare the specifications, and advertise for bids for the entire area along Main Street from Carbon Avenue to 2nd West. The Board discussed other areas where these additional funds could be used, such as the sidewalk under the underpass and the park area in west price near the Chevron bulk plant. Pat suggested spending the money this year on whatever projects are selected, as she is sure the Agency will receive the same amount of funds next year. Gary stated that he will review all of the above recommendations, place an estimate on the projects and report back to the Council.

MOTION. Boardmember Nikas moved that the meeting adjourn and that the Council meeting reconvene. Motion seconded by Boardmember Piccolo and carried.
