Minutes of The Special Price City Council Meeting

 1.        SHARI MADRID - Appointment As City Treasurer For 2004-2005 - Approved

 

Mayor Piccolo recommended that Shari Madrid be appointed as City Treasurer for 2004-2005.  MOTION.  Councilmember Wheeler moved that the appointment be approved.  Motion seconded by Councilmember Denison and carried.

 

 2.        STAFF ASSIGNMENTS, BOARD ASSIGNMENTS FOR 2004-2005 - Approved

 

Mayor Piccolo recommended the following staff and board assignments for 2004-2005.  MOTION.  Councilmember Denison moved that the assignments be approved.  Motion seconded by Councilmember Wheeler and carried.

 3.         TERASINA COMPAGNI - Request To Waive Street Opening and Sewer Connection - Denied

 

Mayor Piccolo reported that Terasina Compagni has requested that the costs to open a street and connect to the city sewer system be waived.  Ms. Compagni inherited the property when her grandmother passed away in April, 2001.  MOTION.  As this would be considered a new connection, Councilmember Denison moved that the request be denied.  Motion seconded by

Councilmember Tatton and carried.

 

MOTION.  Councilmember Tatton moved that the meeting adjourn and that an Executive Session be convened for the purpose of discussing property.  Motion seconded by Councilmember Wheeler and carried.

 

Meeting adjourned at 12:16 p.m.

 

 4.        EXECUTIVE SESSION - Property Discussion

 

MOTION.  Councilmember Tatton moved that the Executive Session adjourn and that the Council Meeting reconvene.  Motion seconded by Councilmember Wheeler and carried.

 

Meeting reconvened at 12:33 p.m.

 

 5.        LEAUTAUD PROPERTY - Earnest Money Agreement

 

MOTION.  Councilmember Tatton moved that Mayor Piccolo, Nick Tatton and Nick Sampinos be authorized to continuing negotiating and possibly issue an Earnest Money agreement with Jack Leautaud for the easements on the East Price Electric Distribution System contingent upon completion of the agreement with Utah Power & Light Company.  Motion seconded by Councilmember Christman and carried.
