Minutes of The Special Price City Council Meeting

1. MAYOR PROTEMPORE - Councilmember Roy A. Nikas

MOTION. In the absence of Mayor Lou Colosimo, Councilmember Tatton moved that Councilmember Roy A. Nikas be appointed Mayor Protempore. Motion seconded by Councilmember Piccolo and carried.

2. POINT EVALUATION SYSTEM FOR JOB CLASSIFICATIONS - Discussion

Using our present point evaluation system for job classifications and grades, the Council conducted a scenario of a current job description to determine the grade level of that position. They then took that same job description and used the MAA program. They felt that the MAA program was a little easier to follow. However, the MAA program does not have a point system coinciding with the number of points calculated for the job, such as our present system has. The Council discussed eliminating the grade system and implementing a salary increase system. It was recommended that the next meeting be set specifically for talking about salary and survey type programs. The next meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, October 4^th at 7:00 a.m.
