Minutes of The Special Price City Council Meeting

 1.                CANVASS OF PRIMARY ELECTION - October 7, 2003


The Mayor and Council acted as the Board of Canvassers for the October 7, 2003 Primary Election.  Joanne Lessar presented and opened two Provisional Ballots that were added to the cumulative ballots cast.  The two ballots increased the following candidates by one vote: 


Joe Christman                           David A. Cox

Stephen L. Denison                  Richard Tatton


MOTION.  As there was only one vote difference between David A. Cox and Jay Marshall, Councilmember Tatton moved that a recount be taken.  Motion seconded by Councilmember Wheeler and carried.  Carbon County Clerk/Auditor Robert Pero conducted the recount using the County=s electronic tabulator witnessed by the Mayor, Council, City Recorder and the above two residents.  Joanne Lessar certified and verified the counts as follows:

MOTION.  Councilmember Tatton moved that the election results be accepted.  Motion seconded by Councilmember Reaveley and carried.


 2.         DANA YOUNG - Travel Approved


MOTION.  Councilmember Tatton moved that Dana Young be authorized to attend the Administrative Assistants Conference in Grand Junction, Colorado, October 17, 2003.  Motion seconded by Councilmember Wheeler and carried.
