Minutes of The Special Price City Council Meeting

City Hall: Price, Utah

October 31, 2001, 7:00 a.m.

Excused: Mayor Lou Colosimo

 1.         MAYOR PROTEMPORE - Councilmember Betty P. Wheeler

MOTION. Councilmember Nikas moved that in the absence of Mayor Lou Colosimo, that Councilmember Richard Tatton be appointed Mayor Protempore. Councilmember Tatton declined the appointment. Councilmember Nikas then moved that Councilmember Betty P. Wheeler be appointed Mayor Protempore. Motion seconded by Councilmember Tatton and carried.

 2.         JOB DESCRIPTION - Administrative Assistant

The Council reviewed and accepted the final job description for the Administrative Assistant. MOTION. Councilmember Nikas moved that the job description be approved, that the job title be changed to Community Director and that the grade will be selected at a later time. Motion seconded by Councilmember Denison and carried.

 3.         SMUIN, RICH AND MARSING - Payment For Audit Services FY2000/2001

MOTION. Councilmember Piccolo moved that payment in the amount of $9,700 be made to Smuin, Rich and Marsing for audit services for the Fiscal Year 2000/2001. Motion seconded by Councilmember Tatton and carried.

 4.         COMMUNITY DIRECTOR - Grade Approved

MOTION. Councilmember Tatton moved that a Grade 17 be selected for the position of Community Director. Motion seconded by Councilmember Piccolo and carried. Councilmember Denison abstained.

 5.         ADVERTISEMENT FOR COMMUNITY DIRECTOR

MOTION. Councilmember Tatton moved that Keith Wight be directed to advertise for the position of Community Director for the next 30 days. Motion seconded by Councilmember Piccolo and carried.
